The Water Balance Forum

South East Queensland residents are rising to the challenge of saving water but what are our options?

This forum will discuss innovations in our built environment to capture and reuse our precious water resources; from storm water run-off to grey water recycling.

  • What are the new technologies available and what are the barriers to their implementation?
  • What are the pros and cons of the various methods of harvesting water?
  • What impact do these different methods have on our waterways and in particular our Brisbane River?

Water leaders will discuss what is being done and what is still to do; from domestic alternatives to grand scale commercial developments.

Speakers include:

  • Elisabeth Nosworthy, chair of the Queensland Water Commission
  • Gary Workman, National Manager Green Plumbers (Master Plumbers & Mechanical Services Association of Australia

Exploring all areas of water-sourcing, from rainwater tanks, recycled water, pipelines and storm water harvesting, the forum will challenge your opinions and offer more knowledge on the various alternatives available.

Water Balance poses the challenge – can we save more while using less?
