An initiative of Riverfestival in partnership with the International Riverfoundation
Through its partnership with the International Riverfoundation (IRF), Riverfestival provides leadership in protecting and improving rivers globally. Central to this is the recognition of best practice in river management through the awarding of the National and International Thiess Riverprizes.
The awards will be announced at the Thiess Riverprize Dinner, and presentations on the work of all successful finalists will be featured in the 10th International Riversymposium and Environmental Flows Conference program.
Riverfestival initiated the establishment of the IRF to support the development of the Thiess Riverprize and symposium. The IRF is now a leading advocate and catalyst for the protection and restoration of the world’s rivers. For more information on the work of the IRF, visit the IRF website.
