IMA Grey Water Exhibition art

Grey Water

Presented by Institute of Modern Art as part of Riverfestival

We are experiencing a severe drought. Clean water is no longer taken for granted. There are massive water restrictions and plans to recycle waste water. But can we create the infrastructure in time?

The Institute of Modern Art’s exhibition, Grey Water, showcases works from different places and different cultural viewpoints that address our identification with water, and the purity and pollution of water.

Hits of the show include Bill Culbert’s Pacific Flotsam, a scatter-installation of fluorescent tubes and plastic bottles and Teresa Margolles’s soap-bubble-blowing machines, which recycle water used to wash down corpses in a Mexico City morgue.
