Riverfestival presents Bunya to the Bay Digital Stories in association with State Library of Queensland and Education Queensland
In August/September 2006, 26 intrepid school students became the inaugural River Ambassadors as they made a 15 day trek from the Bunya Mountains to Fort Lytton in Brisbane, following our river the whole way.
As a result of this expedition, Bunya to the Bay, digital stories have been produced from the students’ documentation of their trek as they observed the state of the Brisbane River and considered its possible futures.
Giving voice to young people and their views on the future of our water resources, this display provides an important social and environmental documentation in our current climate, and also celebrates the achievements of our first River Ambassadors.
